Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan

I Liq Chuan® (literally translated as either Mind-Body Fist or Mental-Physical Martial Art), also known as “The Martial Art of Awareness”), was founded by Chin, Lik Keong in 1976. It is a style of Chinese Kung Fu  that cultivates consciousness based on the Tai Chi and Chan (Zen) principles of non-assertion, non-resistance, harmony of yin and yang, oneness and the present moment.

Zhong Xin Dao® (literally translated as Center-Heart-Path) is our trademarked/unique approach to training and mastery. This approach, developed and refined over the last 20 years by Grandmaster Sam Chin (and named by his son, Hsin Chin), that saves time and enables all practitioners receive the “Xin Fa” (literally Heart Transmission) to gain the skills that were once reserved for family members and “indoor” disciples of the master.

Our training consists of 15 Basic Exercises, the 21 Form, the Butterfly Form, Spinning Hands, Sticky Hands and applications.

“At the Heart of the Center, Lies the Path.” – Grandmaster Sam F.S. Chin

Patient. Insightful. Skillful. Passionate.

The New York City team of instructors has allowed me to grow exponentially. Physically I feel better, mentally I am more resilient, martially I am more clear. I love it!

Joshua is a superb instructor.  He is articulate and precise in his explanation of the theory and applications of the art.  He breaks information down for us and patiently explains and customizes to each person’s frame of mind.  The task for us is to listen to the instructions and to simply follow them – the results flow from there.

I Liq Chuan is an amazing art. Grandmaster Sam Chin’s Zhong Xin Dao approach clarified the last 30 years of my training. Functional philosophy – I can apply it anywhere. I was first exposed to this training through Instructor Joshua Craig of New York City, and I simply want to say, “Thank you!”
